Ko wai ahau - Who am I ?
Ko Linsey tōku ingoa. I am a yoga teacher, guide, and space holder with over 25 years’ experience supporting wellbeing through hatha and restorative yoga, meditation, and nervous system healing practices.
I affiliate to the Te Arawa tribes and have Scottish and Irish ancestry.
Aroha Nui yoga was created for those seeking deep rest, emotional replenishment, and reconnection in a busy world.
My teaching is trauma-informed, body-honouring, and grounded in aroha.
I weave together ancient yogic wisdom with a softly held, accessible approach that welcomes all bodies, life stages, and levels of experience.
I hold advanced yoga teaching certifications including restorative and therapeutic yoga training, Yoga Nidra training, pre-natal yoga certification, and ongoing nervous system-informed study. My work is also influenced by te ao Māori, wairua-centred healing, and the understanding that deep rest itself is medicine.
Aroha Nui Yoga offers a space to soften, exhale, and return home to yourself — one breath, one rest, one moment at a time.
A little more about me...
I have a career background in fashion, retail, art and design, and continue to study traditional Maori art, weaving, and healing modalities, and te reo māori.
I'm a mother, grandmother, animal lover and gardener.
My journey began through pregnancy yoga with my third pēpi and continued into teaching after several years practice. It continues through more than two decades of life transitions, trainings, teaching people from all walks of life, and growth.
